The stages of a woodcut

Stage 1 Blank Pearwood

Stage 1. Blank Pearwood Block

Earlier this week, I completed a few packs of the revised cards that I have mentioned a couple of times on my blog. I showed them to my Facebook friends and was gratified that there was some interest. The mark 3 versions will follow in due course, but for now I’m setting this project aside and starting to work on a ballad sheet that hopefully I will be printing when I’m out and about this summer. Here are a few photos of the stages of an earlier block that I did for Gloucester 2013.
