About

Ever since school, which was a long time ago, I’ve been interested in relief printing – that is, lino cuts and wood cuts. I liked the process and I liked the look of them. Life rolled by and I didn’t do much about it. I became a keen re-enactor in the English Civil War Society, where I met my husband. I saw a man operating a printing press at one of our events and thought how great a thing it would be to do. But I still didn’t do anything about it until my 40th birthday when the old man said to me, “Let’s make it happen!” Then we spent the next few years researching and building a “Common” press. She was named “Press Genepy”. In 2014, I decided to bring our project to wider view, making use of the Wonders of the World Wide Web. The mission continues….

If you’d like to know more about the press or the things I make, please get in touch!
